MANAGING THE LAND MEANS SUPERIOR LOGS
Our experience in managing timber and producing logs for our own sawmills makes selling logs a natural part of our business. The vast forests of the Appalachian region from which we harvest contain some of the finest timber in all of North America. The common species from our logging area include Red Oak, White Oak, Cherry, Poplar, Hickory, and Hard and Soft Maple. Logs that are not sawn at our own Omega sawmills are resold to the veneer industry, other sawmills, as well as for staves in the barrel-making process in the liquor and wine industries.
